I am Yvonne Akinyi, a student at The Technical University of Kenya pursuing Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication.

I have been an intern at Science Africa for a period of three months (Feb-April 2021). Science Africa has opened my eyes to other aspects of Journalism, by not only finding problems but also solutions to the problems we face in our daily lives, through solutions journalism.

Learning that reporting of the ills going on in the world does not help but finding solutions to these problems has pushed me to want to be one of the positive changes that the world needs, and not just sit and complain
